93 Tempo fuel problem
Car runs. Go figure! hehe Runs along fine and suddenly, without warning, it dies. Pop the line off of the fuel filter and nothing. Wait about 30 minutes to an hour and *PRESTO* fuel pump is working fine again! Car was overheating, but I power flushed the system, put in a new thermostat, and filled with coolant. (Yes! I used antifreeze! :D ) Car starts easy and runs smooth, but occasionally the fuel pump stops. It only stops after driving too! It will sit and idle all day. The switch in the trunk is good. The brain box is brand new, and the pump is about 2 years old but looks super clean. Tank is clear as a bell. Could this be a relay or EEC problem? And where is the fuel pump relay, anyway? It's supposed to be by the front left tire, but I can't find it! I beg the intervention of the Ford Gurus! lol Thanks!
