93 topaz not starting fuel puddle in throttle body
93 mercury topaz 4cyc. Ok im helping a friend with his car and when he started it the gas peddle would have to be to the floor in order to start. i know that isn't right because it's fuel injected but it started and immediatly would rev high. he wanted just some general mauntenance done to it and told him what he needed. so i checked the PCV, and the air filter, which both need done, and when i pulled the intake off to check the filter i notice that there was straight gas setting in the throttle body and now the car wont start. so i figured after having to press the gas to the floor and all, that it was just flooded. i told him just to let it set over night and try it in the morning. well morning came and still wont start, so i checked for spark and it has it. i have worked on plenty of cars and can't figure this one out.
