I'll start this by saying that I know very little about cars.

My '91 Tempo recently lost a belt and I was told that the A/C Compressor had bought it and thus caused the belt to go.

I believe that the loss of this belt also effected the power steering.

My main question is if I will be able to drive the car from it's current resting place back to my home?

yes your power steering is affecte u see that along with the water pump, alternator, ac, everything runs off the serphitine belt, a good 20-30 minuts witout a waterpump all ur fluid gona come spewing out loose alla ur water, then its gona become low, engines gona heat up, and seize although ur oil pump might still be turning mines of my timeing chain ive seen sum on the belt, if thats not spining heres what happens to ur engine
take a knife and drag the blade acros ur floor
sorta the same thing happens inside
but telle me this did she have sum serious power for a lil while there?

On a 91, there is a serpintine belt that runs the Power Steering & AC compressor off of the crank. The Power Steering pump is a double pullie that also runs your Alternator.

When I get home, I think I have a diagram of the belt routing. But as said above. Fix it where it is or have it towed.
