Engine revs up when coming to a stop

My daughters 94 Tempo will rev up when she comes up to a stop.
She’s off to college and I get very little time to look at it before she’s off and running.
I’m not really sure what to think of it since when I test drive it, it doesn’t act up.

Re: Engine revs up when coming to a stop

Could be the EGR valve or PEF sensor. That wouldn't act up until the car is fully warmed up.

Also could be the IAC.

Your best bet is to pull the codes, even if there is no check engine light.
