So I pulled the valve cover off my drag car and dleaned it really good, then painted it. here's pics if anyone wants to see, it's kinda bright.

Hey, nice!
I've been wanting to do that to my Tempo for some time now. Would you mind explaining how it's done? I assume that you just unbolt the cover and take it off to paint it, but please clarify that for me. What new parts would I require in order to re-install it, i.e. gaskets. etc. Any paint type you would recommend?

A lot of it depends on the car, with my laser all I had to do was pull 14 bolts then clean it off really well, then use a high temp paint in your choice of colors, let dry, then you may need to get a new gasket, with my car I just got some RTV sealant and ran a bead on the head and put the head on, screwed the bolts in their holes, but did'nt tighten them, let it dry overnight, then tighten them the next day for the best seal. make sure to limit overspray, don't want any extra paint on the oily side of the cover, it was actully pretty easy to do all in all.
