Has any one out there installed a K & N filter on a 93 Ford Tempo with the V6 Vulcan Engine , I have an idea what i could do , but would apprciate if anyone has did it.

Don't know any reason you can't, I did extensive research before I put one in my '05 Mustang GT, K&N guarantees you will not have any problems, plus they include a card with their phone number on it, if any dealer or garage tries to tell you their filter will harm your engine call them right then and they will tell the dealer or garage they are full of it. Anyway it does help a little bit with the engine breathing easier and adds a small amount of horse power, not to mention they are cleanable. Daveg

To each his own. I took off my K & N filter and tossed it when i found fine sand
inside my air tube as it enters the MAS sensor. It was junk. K.N. took the filter back and said i shouldn't use it on my road conditions. I live in what is called the " Sandy Lands ".
Same as driving in a desert. Their filters will not filter that out. That is why they breath
so well. The filters are rated for full open throttle only. My friend USED to have one on his truck. He also found fine sand type substance in his air tubes. He drives city only. He
chucked his filter also.

chipset, thanx for the info, I will definately keep an eye on my Mustang's intake, I bought it mainly for a little extra kick at the drags and the track, if I find any find particles in the intake I will put the stock one back in for everyday driving and use the K&N for track use only, thanx again, Daveg
