I have a 88 ford tempo. The brake lights, turn signals and headlights work but not the rear running lights dont. I checked the fuse's and they seem to be good. Why arnt my rear tail lights working. I pull the light knob for the parking lights and they dont work either. I'm really confused. thanks

Checked the bulbs ? Checked for power at bulbs ?

Have you checked the fuses with a test light to make sure there's power there as well as what R.S.LOGAN mentioned.

i would double check under the carpet for a bad ground... the ground in trunk is usually a wire screwed into body and where it is screwed to body can rust... when rust happens, the lights dont ground right... sometimes the brake light switch causes these issues too since a friend of mine with a 1998 Sunfire had this issue too... only part of lights that worked was where it was lit up saying Sunfire except when brakes were applied... changed brake light switch and then the lights worked... last possible if that isnt the issue is if the headlight switch went bad
