Negative ghost rider, the pattern is full.
The 2.3 that the Ranger's used was the 2.3 OHC engine. The same as mustangs & Turbo Coupes.
The 2.3 from a Tempo is an OHV engine that's basically a 200 I6 with 2 cylinders chopped off.
In the US, 84's had a carb. Good luck getting it to work. I'd suggest going to a yard and trying to find the intake, and carb from an 84 Tempo. Or maybe an early 80's escort.
