FPR will be lining up on the streets of surfers with cars #5, #6 and #7. Bessy will carry the number 7 from now on. Riviting stuff, but I like it that way, them having consecitvie numbers.

what did actually happen to 00 motorsport? no one really seems to care since they were a top running ford team then they go right down to not racing in like 6 months

They sold their franchise off to team brock or k-mart racing, can't remember which, after they lost the ford money as lowndes went to FPR, 00 Motorsport was pretty much a dead duck as soon as Fred Gibson left, they had support till Ford had elsewhere to put Lowndes and then they inevitably fell in a heap.
The rest of the teams equipment and racecars are up for sale, or at least everything bar the workshop is IIRC

why did they sell their francises, while i dont understand the whole licences/Franchises thing why did team brock or kmart need them they havnt expanded?

When the series was setup teams were allocated a L1 or L2 franchise. Teams recieve income based on the franchise they hold at the end of a season. A L1 franchise allows teams to run 2 cars, L2 allows them to run 1 car.

Team brock was based on the old Paul wheel racing which held a L2 franchise and leased a 2nd L2 from elsehwere to run 2 cars... They purchased a L1 franchise, and as such the Leased l2 franchise can go back to its owner and they can sell their other l2 franchise. Holding an L1 franchise they get higher income and greater control as there is nobody to decide they want their franchise back and pull it out from underneath them.
K-mart needed a franchise as they were originally run under the same franchise as HRT after gibson/forbes defected to ford.

Kmart were running under John Faulkner's L1 Franchise at the start of the year. JFR's franchise is now been used by Team Brock and Kmart has the 00 Motorsport Level 1 franchise.
