Ambrose: Personality of the year
Press Release
Ford V8 Supercar driver Marcos Ambrose has won the inaugural CAMS Personality of the Year award presented in Melbourne in February.
Following up on his Rookie of the Year win for an outstanding debut season in the Pirtek Falcon in 2001, Ambrose has been judged Personality of the Year by motor-sport media and CAMS members.
Stone Brothers Racing resumes testing later this month with Ambrose energized and excited about his prospects for 2002.
"The pressure's right on this year for me to produce the goods. I think I've come a long way in my first year and I've learnt a lot.the team, the car, the tracks.I look forward to really capitalizing this year on last year's experience."
"The awards have been a real buzz but I'm concentrating on results on track now and so is the team. I'm no longer the new kid on the block so no excuses; it's time to win!"
