"On Lap 11 Ambrose was involved in “incident” on the exit of turn one which saw lapped driver Rodney Forbes spin in front of him and on to the in field. There was a stewards’ inquiry about the incident after the race, but there was “inadequate evidence to support a breach of the rules by either driver.” "
Rodney Forbes was not lapped he was ahead of Ambrose, but he is still a complete dickhead. Sorry, but we have many levels in Australian motorsport and Rodney Forbes is driving in a series about 5 levels above where he should be. 00 Motorsport... I can't wait until they drive Holdens. Or should that be go-karts.
forbes is not going to holden, neither is the team.
They sold their FRANCHISE to the Kelly family, not the TEAM, at the same time they picked up a L2 Franchise with which to run forbes' car in the series, so they have downgraded to being a single car operation, kept the spin king on as driver, and are hoping they can retain ritter for their enduro driver.
How far Marcos would be out in front of the championship if they were still using last years points system?
By this time last year Skaife was that far out in front it was not funny!
Yeah but I love the series much more for it now because it rewards those that put in a constant effort. Ofcourse if you win 5 in a row no matter what your bound to get a huge head start but it also rewards the smaller car teams that get good runs, but haven't a chance in hell of winning... It certainly looks like it is doing it's job well with evenly distributed points.
And like there hasn't been alot of suspect decision going Holden's way in the past, yes there has been some terrible call's of late but is that really to do with Ford or Holden,
It goes both way's, my friend.
Beauty eh .Gotta love it .
Makes up for AVESCO and their inability to deal with HRT's ownership deal .
At the end of the day , second place is forgotten .
FORD WINS AGAIN.
Fair enough Galaxy but it just seems like the authorities are going out of their way to give Ford every opportunity to do well - kind of like they're making up for all the years of drubbing they've copped from Holden.
To be honest, Ford can do the winning on their own without any outside help.

I agree they can win without outside help , but sometimes its a hinderance .
Think back to when the EBV8 emerged and kept winning .
CAMS as it was then ( I think ) came up with the idea to shave the front spoiler so it gave everyone else a chance to win , and while they were at it , added some weight too.
Also , with Auscar racing . Kim Janes Ford 351c XF was lapping them every 5 laps of the Thunderdome . Lets limit it to 5 litres and add restrictor plates .
The diff used in the Holden V8 supercars is a derivative of the Ford 9inch and the double wishbone front end also derived from Ford . It doesn't represent anything close to what is driven on the road . If it did , they wouldn't get off the start line .
And they reckon parity racing has just begun .
GM's turn to cop the raw end of the stick .
They can suck on it and like it .
I dont understand how Ambrose could win 3 out of 5 races and not be winning the championship. I don't like the new points system. I think being able to drop your worst round is a stupid idea.
Wait till end of season. Then hopefully it will come good !!!
I remember way back when J.Bowe was in front on points but didn't win to many in one season. Consistancy is being rewarded..

Fair enough, but when exactly as you claim has the authorities gone out of their way to help out Ford,I take it your refering to the Murphy ,Lowndes incident a one off incident which I personally didnt agree with the outcome but I very much doubt that the decision was based on a Ford v's Holden battle and since when has this so called fair justice you claim Ford has over Holden helped Ambrose win the last 3 round's in a row.
but seriously whats the go with that ??? it seems like murph cops it more than anyone else....whats the go there? has there been ISSUES inthe past or what????
After the Lowndes/murph issue at winton, they had a review of drive through penalties and when they are given.
An article on this is in autoaction....
"Calls for drive through penalties [will be given] only when incidents can be judged beyond a resonable doubt. "We are saying if there are any extenuating circumstances where it is not clear cut... then you dont apply a drive through, you basically hold it over to the completion of the race and carry on normal investigation" said AVESCO CEO Wayne Cattach."
So it is very much this that saved ambrose i reakon...
