Bathurst Hard Charger Award?? Thexton

What a great drive by Thexton today to go from 39th to 16th. 23 Positions, surely he will win the Bathurst hard charger award for that effort, that should silence a few of the critics.

Agreed a silent mover...good on him and he didn't push anyone off the track to do it either

Silent mover is quite right! I think I saw him once, and that was only when he came in contact with that guy at the chase.

Not sure whether he took out the 2nd Castrol Commodore, but he was certainly involved but otherwise top effort for him! - excellent drive!

Don't know if he took the second Castrol car out. Was it deemed a racing incident? No comment was made by the commentators . I didn't hear or see him getting a drive through penalty. Anyway i think he did a better job than Perkins.

Re: Bathurst Hard Charger Award?? Thexton

If you look at the damage on the left hand side of Thexton's car, it is obvious that Dumbrell was not far enough up the inside to make the pass. It was really Dumbrell's own fault. An excellent drive by Thexton, to finish when others didn't

It's like the old 'Hare and the Tortoise' story with Thexton's effort on Sunday. Well done to them, they stayed clean drove at their own pace and I bet they're real happy.
