Bathurst is Bathurst, I still think that the teams/drivers are going to do their best to win it. When SBR are looking at Pairing up Ingall/Ambrose you know they are taking it fairly seriously.
When it was included in the championship everyone was worried it would change things and people would think more of the championship than the race, but the pace has got faster and people are taking it as seriously as ever, so I don't see anything changing there.
What I wonder is when we will see a team sacrifice some speed in the interests of fuel economy, rely on the pace car to keep them up with the lead pack, then take the lead by performing one less fuel stop, I hope it never comes down to an economy run as that would ruin the race, but it seems to be a feasible strategy with the number of safety car periods experienced in the races there.
I think Bathurst has it's own stigma and everybody who has raced there will say you only go to win and conqour the Mountain,Bathurst is and allway's will be the race of the year that everybody lust's after for a win.

My bloody oath it will be. Bathurst is the race of the year. I almost give my right arm to see a Ford win on the mountain again. God knows we've waited long enough!
