During Sunday's warm-up session the stewards blacked flagged both WPS cars for bringing the sport into disrepute after they replaced the 'Ford' stickers on the windscreen with 'No Money From Ford'.
Who does Gore think he is?
Firstly he says in AutoAction that Ford is doing a pathetic job and then this.
Ford should tell him to f*** off and go to Holden with the rest of the whinging bastards.

I thought the black flag was to stop a dangerous car/driver and reduce the risk to other competitors &/or the public. This stinks of politics to me!

I'd rather the teams decided what banners they ran on the windscreens. The bloody horrible Ford (is it purple) banner ruins the appearance of some cars whose whole colour scheme has been designed for the sponsors that are putting some money their way. Good on Gore for stirring it up a bit.

While I'm still happy to play along and cheer for (most of) the Fords teams and despise (most of) the Holden teams I do reconise that V8SC's are now basically a sillohette formula and the original vehicle structure and recognisable outer panels make very little difference.

If no money's coming his way I don't see how Ford would have any say in his teams operations and which vehicle he chooses to base the race cars on.

Realisticly Ford AND Holden are blocking a lot of money into the
sport. My initial reaction was they put a LOT into the sport and
deserve some space on the cars that run their marque but...

They also prevent the teams from sourcing money from other
manufacturers and running their vehicles. Of course the teams
are going to utilise the investment of these two, they don't
have any choice. Ford and Holden get plenty back from the
sport just by having the only two vehicles getting the exposure.

I say let the teams sell as much of their car as possible.
AVESCO can please the makers or LET TOYOTA IN IT REALLY
COULD BE A GREAT THING.

If you had spent 10 years starting a business from almost scratch and invested millions and millions of dollars and now see it finally starting to take off and become profitable would you allow another person to come in and start reaping the rewards that you worked so hard for, also they dont even sell a V8 in Aust, i dont care that Holden and Ford dont use the same engine as the Supercars, but Toyota them selves (not lexus) doesnt sell a V8 so untill then i dont think they even deserve consideration...

I think you've got it mixed up with Rnd11 at Indy when every Ford team had Pink banners, I'm 99.9% sure that this was done to help promote breast cancer awareness month/week, I didn't hear Ch10 mention it in thier NZ telecast but in NZ all the monuments and certian landmarks turned pink for a month/week, what ever it was. The normal banner colour is Ford Blue, and I think it looks great!

If WPS don't like Ford, then why don't they join Holden? They need to stop bitching and stop trying to takeaway attention from thier crap preformances this season by slagging Ford. No-ones telling them to stay with Ford.
