Since 1996, the Holden Racing Team has set an enviable record, taking 52% of all Championship round wins, 48% of pole positions and 48% of total race wins. This includes the 2001 season, which was possibly the most competitive year ever, when ten different drivers recorded round wins.
Now that is one hell of a record, I havent checked the stats but am Guessing they picked up 80-90% during 96-98 and the average has been on the way down over the last few years. Am hoping anyway:crazy1: Anyone care to check? I can't be bothered.
I'm adamant we can. Ford cars have shown inconsistant, yet very fast times on various tracks, including The rats domination in Perth, Marcos ambrose at winton raceway, and lowndes in the wet sandown track on race 3.
These 2 drivers atleast have now a year behined a ford v8 supercar and have driven on all the tracks too. Im expecting a big year, and I'm sure ford will deliver more of the goods.

The Ford's should be more consistent this year with the new Dunlop control tyre.
Glenn Seton tested the new tyre on Monday and after 65 laps , the tyres only lost 0.2mm of tread.
He also said that over the 65 laps he only lost .6 seconds in lap times.
I really think that the Dunlop tyres will suit the Falcons more than the Commodores. Bridgestone designed their tyres to suit the Holdens especially HRT and that's why they WERE dominant.
This year will be the year of the Blue Oval.
HRT can enjoy being no.1 while it lasts cause its the lowest and loniest number you can get (excluding 0) and when your on top theris only one way to do and thats down.
by the way i got that of "Every Body Loves Raymond" but i changed a bit
