V8 Supercar drivers now can be penalised for driving over marker cones that don't even exist, at Honda Indy this year.

The reason behind this is that the cones were being destroyed by the Indy cars and leaving 4 bolts exposed to puncture tyres. The cones were then removed, and V8 Supercar drivers have been told that if they drive where the cones were, they will be awarded a drive thru penalty.

Is it realistic to ask V8 drivers, in the heat of battle, to remember where the cones were, and penalise them if they don't?
