DJR Targets Holden Star

From AA

Kmart Racing star Greg Murphy may be on the move to Ford next year if Holden cannot guanantee him a competitive seat.

Adding to speculation that he is on the market, Murphy was spotted recently at dinner with DJR General Manager Steve Chalker. Both have stressed that the meeting was anything but professional and they simply met as they are old friends.

Sources close to DJR say murphy is one of a number of drivers that the struggeling Queensland squad are chasing in a bid to improve its performance next year.

Well why not, nothing else has worked so far and there is only one place to go when your on the bottom.

If true, I wonder if Max will get the shove. No real good results to date.

I've heard of Brabham and Ellery getting drives at DJR next year.

Silly season is on again!

I am sure he would be better off at KMart than DJR, even hand me down SHRT cars are much better than DJR cars at the moment. I would have picked murph for team kiwi if he ends with Rich Daddy Racing.

Yep Silly season is on
Now I am one die hard DJR supporter, but I have to wonder over the last few years
We had Greg Ritter, was proven to be quick (Quick with his mouth too, but dont all these drivers have big egos?)
At the moment Warren Luff is driving for the team, he seems to be pretty good behind the wheel, I would prefer to perserve with a good guy like Luff than with a handbag sook like Murphy.
When everything is good for Murf, he is fantastic, but I have never seen a driver that drops his bundle so quickly.

Re: DJR Targets Holden Star

Dont think that DJR is the only Ford game in town looking to secure Mr Murphy either....

I personally dont see the point myself, it would be a PR nightmare, but I guess the technical skills (read: speed) overcomes all other ills....

All is not as it appears. Trust no-one

Re: DJR Targets Holden Star

I reckon that every driver that is part of that HRO are arrogant but if you took them away from that their attitudes would change. Murphy is a good driver given the right equiptment, doesnt bother me where he goes as long as he looses that arrogance.
