This was taken directly from V8X. I have not changed any of the words.
Is this for real? As it appears to be yet another display of one rule for one and another rule for another.
I just hope that V8X got it wrong!! I hope for the Sports sake!!
Do the crime, do the time!! $300 for speeding in pitlane, there isnt a team in pitlane that would be willing to pay that if it allows them to do even an extra 2kmh in the pits.
GTR Magic?? Any news on this or when it occured? I just thought it may have been as Skaife was limping back into the pits with a buggered engine, drive through would not be much good in this case, so this is the only situation that I would consider the monitory fine to be fair and reasonable.
SUNDAY 20 JULY
Car #11, Steven Richards, received a drive through penalty for exceeding the pit lane speed limit during the Race.
Car #1, Mark Skaife, was found to be in breach of the Rules, speeding in Pit Lane during race. A penalty of $300 was imposed.

In practice you get fined for speeding in pit lane but in the race you get a drive though opertive word DRIIVE THROUGH not a fine.So this is a series not a single race so that means skaife should get the drive though at the next race. He should start the race then get his drive through simple. Its holdens rules just see what murphy did to thexton that should have got a drive though but he races for HOLDEN,and then theres Bright raming Ambrose in the second round he had nothing done to him because He's HOLDEN.
chrisbenn, the entire world is against Ford, although I am sure you already know that.
Do you like the X files?

Why should you be punished for something in the next race that happened in an different race entirely?
The violation did not happen in the next race so why should you be punished in the next race? Thats ridiculous IMHO
$300 fine for a what, 1 or 2 km/h infringment, in a busted car (Skaife probably did not know what speed he was doing) - that's a bit exy to me.
And as for Thexton - unfortunately, he got what he deserved. He must have seen the faster cars coming up behind him - I'm sure Murph thought he would go off-line, but no, he wandered across in front of Murphy. A small spin was a let off if you ask me.
