I'm not sure if this on topic in this forum, but it does have to do with motorsport.

Has anyone tried this. It's a Race modified BA XR8, that you actually get to drive. 5 laps around Calder!

The best thing is that it only costs $199.

It's definately something i'm gonna look into next year.

I think thats the one thats been in Performance ford mag and I think their is another one that Paul Morris and Marcos Ambrose have been in the marketing for, I saw it on MA's site.

Yeh, i want to do it 'round Eastern Creek. Its $299 and $45 for a video of it all. I mate of mine doesn't know it, but he will be doing this for christmas. Lucky prick. And he doesn't even follow or watch V8Supercars

My son and I saw the adverts for this at Bathurst this year.There is also another group out there called "sideways action" who do something similar.They have a website www.sidewaysaction.com.au not sure how much they charge as theirs is more rallying.

Son did one of these type of drives when he was in the UK for a holiday this year {it was our 21st b/day present to him} and he said he had a blast!After some initial instruction with the instructor beside him,he was let loose on his own.The guy who ran it reckoned my son was a natural and would do well at rallying.And considering he was in a Ford Focus a car he's never driven before,he did ok.Bet he wished he had his Lancer with him.

Here are some pictures of the cars from Willowbank.. We went today as part of XR6Gal's christmas present.. I was the 'official' spectator and photographer but she had a mighty time... The biggest grin after the event, well worth the money imo
