My daughter just droped in and was telling me that she thinks someone was killed in the east coast targa today!! Is that right or has she got it ballsed up?
Do hope it's wrong......
Sadly there was. The footage may be on Sports Tonight as it was shown on the evening news. A Porsche driver died after an accident where the car had lost control after negotiating a small bridge. The car dropped the right rear wheel off the side of the road, the car began to slide and in the effort to miss the two large trees to the left, he spun off the road. The car hit a ditch and rolled a number of times. The driver suffered a heart attack a short while later and despite the efforts of emergency personnel, he sadly passed away. Condolences to his family and friends as no one wants to see these things happen.
At least the car held up, keeping perfectly in tact. Navigator was hurt but will be ok. Just shows how good those roll cages are.
Remember he died from a heart attack, its not the rally's fault. I hope do-gooders wont try and use this crash as an example.......
