I dont wanna sound like a whinger, but getting out of Eastern Creek was a bloody joke. I know there were a tonne of cars there and it has a bad reputation already......but sitting on my ass not moving for 50 mins kinda gets a bloke thinking.
Luckly I had a holden fan mate next to me I bagged the hell out the whole time.
How about you did what you said last year Eastern Creek Raceway and address it.
I agree, all the race tracks I have been to in Aus are a nightmare to get out of with a big crowd, but just think about that for a minute.
All of these venues would be lucky to get a croud that big twice a year, maybe 3 or 4 times in the case of Bathurst. I just don't think the money will ever be there to do the sort of upgrades required.
Well I was parked in the external parking behind the main straight and got out within about 5 minutes.
I think parking and access is pretty average more or less everywhere. All the circuits I've been to in the UK have been exactly the same, don't expect to get out of them in any major hurry.

I must admit I was in the outside carpark (the sign looked like a bus park actually) and I was out of there and on the M4 in about 15 minutes. I was quite impressed :)

BA XR6 - December 2002 ~ Soon to disappear if Ford CRC can't fix it....
45,000km service coming up - and i'll be asking for a sizable list of fixes:
* Gearbox (3rd time)
* Steering click (5th time)
* Brake Shudder (2nd time, and has the applied "Fix")
* etc...
Maybe you guys should consider hanging around till a bit later to see the other events like the Carrera Cup...I know the MGF Trophy is pretty average but thats the time to go down to the paddock and have a look around....the security is normally off the entrance to the tunnel so you can get in without paying for a pass. I had a great time after the main race and got a few signatures and photos with guys like Lowndes and Johnson then drove straight out the gate at 5pm. What a great day out! :)
