Just wondering how can a vx & vy commodore have the same capacity as the el.They are in the same class as the falcon.
The Class F is an invitational class, meaning that cars from different series were invited to compete for fun. The EL is actually from the Future Tourer series, class F is not a parity or engine size class.
Just thought I'd clear it up!
Also, I'll express how fantastic the EL team was, giving us their radio frequencies to listen to them and inviting us into their garage, as well as coming up the mountain for a few drinks after the race.
I have many pics of the EL inside and out as soon as I get my films developed...
Cheers..... Tim

How much boost?
Ok, just a few quick pictures of the EL XR8 Future Tourer (yes, with EF front and tail lights)!
Some nice big healthy rubber to keep it on the black stuff!
The rear SVO wing was massive!
The fuel system a bit closer, with a fuel cell in the boot, able to be refuelled from either side.
As you can see, not much of the original interior kept at all. A full race cage, removeable steering wheel (obviously!!), and custom instruments ... in fact, the only thing left that is original is the shell of the dash!
The engine bay, with one hell of an air intake. I didn't hear much about what was underneath the bonnet, as the mechanics were busy getting the car ready for the 24 hour. I seem to recall the Future Tourers running U.S. Spec NASCAR engines, but I could be well off the track with that one! Someone might know?
Mother Nature got to speak to the team a bit more, she might know a little bit more about what the car has, but the team were fairly busy when I visited them before the race.
Cheers...... Tim

Great work Agent Timothy! AFAIK the future tourers are mostly ex-V8 Supercars... but obviously this particular beast may well be different again..
Certainly looks serious - not much "roadgoing" fluff on that one!
