Things just don't get any better for Kimi Raikkonen, who was forced to stop the car half way through Practice session 2 on Friday at Barcelona. He remains optimistic though.

Kimi Raikkonen:
"Everything was going according to plan until the end of the second session when I felt something was wrong with the car. The team told me to stop immediately and switch everything off which I did and parked the car on the outside of turn three. However, we did manage to get through our tyre evaluation programme and I'm reasonable happy with the car."



Ferrari stamped their authority on the Catalunya circuit early, fastest in session one, while BAR Honda continue their excellent form finishing quickest in the second session.

Jenson Button:
"Today has gone quite well and I'm pleased to be at the top of the timesheets at the end of the day. The grip has been quite low but I'm happy with the balance of the car. There will be more to come as the track gets better and generally it looks like this is going to be another positive weekend for us"



Qualifying will be at 10pm tonight (for normal east coast type people).

That BAR looks cool, The sad thing is about Mclaren is I am not surprised when they have problems now, honestly they shouldnt be having problems like this

At the end of Saturdays practice sessions, BAR is still on top, but this time it's not Button. Sato is the only driver currently in the 1:14's, best time of a 1:14:836.

The closest driver was Schumacher with a 1:15:025, which is still rather close.

Button ran off the track in Sector Two of his qualifying lap which has really hurt his chances after being so quick all weekend, while Montoya and Sato were the only two in the 1:15's with M Schumacher.

There is no denying the number one Ferrari driver today though, who will start tomorrow from pole in his 200th Grand Prix!
