Fisichella to get his podium thanks to Ford
Giancarlo Fisichella will have the podium celebration he missed out on in Brazil just over a week ago with Ford organizing an alternative for their Italian driver at this weekend's San Marino Grand Prix.
Ford plan to build the rostrum and have their winning driver stand on the top step of the podium in front of his home fans. McLaren driver Kimi Raikkonen will also be present and the two men will exchange the trophies that were awarded at Interlagos, placing them into the rightful hands.
Third placed Fernando Alonso is also thought to be joining in the activities, the Renault driver forced to miss his second third placed finish due to minor injuries sustained in his last lap accident. It is unclear exactly when this event will take place, however it is thought that it will be this coming Thursday.
