FPR to be 2 car team in 2004

FPR have announced that next year they will be scaling back to a 2 car team next year & David Besnard has had to leave. They blame the problems with running a 3 car team from one pit boom rather then any problem with Davids driving. While it is sad to see him go I think 3 cars was too much for a developing team especially with the limits on testing we have now. Bezzy has said he will try & find a drive with a Ford team for next year but will consider any offers.

Re: FPR to be 2 car team in 2004

I was waiting for this to happen.... and I thought it would be Besnard to go as well.

Running three cars from one boom in mandatory pit stop races has caused them greif before, from memory?

Do we know what paint jobs they will be running, like, one CAT and one Blue?

Cheers... Tim!

I've heard a rumour that the CAT money is going walkies & that at this stage Lowndes will be in FPR colours but at this stage it's just a rumour as far as I know.

Would be nice if car #5 & #6 had the same livery!!! Ford credit on the bonet, CAT on the side doors & FPV on the back quarter panel???? Would look much nicer to see 2 car with the same livery!!!

yeah i agree...it looks so desperate having two cars in the same team with different paint jobs...bugger the sponsers Ford can flip the bill themselves if they were serious.

Seriously whats it going to cost..a couple of mil??

Yes the same livery would be great, but SBR pull it off so well!
SBR have the right way of doing it, maybe FPR should look over their own fence

i reckon if all the ford teams pooled thier expertese (sp?) together we could really kick some holden butt, HRT do it, why cant we? hrt gave thier engines to that physco fella (name elludes me the one who almost took ambrose out) for testing purposes, why doesnt ford do the same?

Re: FPR to be 2 car team in 2004

I think he might be talking about Paul Morris in the Sirromet Commodore, who rubbed the back of Ambrose's car all the way thru the first few corners a few rounds back.

Could be wrong, but fits the psycho driver part

Tim!
