The Ferrari team have been fined $10,000 after Michael Schumacher collided with Mark Webber in the pit lane during this morning’s first free practice.

Webber was cruising down the pit lane having completed a stint during practice, when Ferrari’s signal-man indicated Schumacher to exit the garage.

Although Schumacher got away cleanly, he slowed when in the flow of traffic, which caused Webber to shunt into the back of the Ferrari, thus damaging the front wing of his Jaguar.

It was decided by the stewards that Schumacher was released from the garage when it was unsafe to do so.
