After all that testing of the new Aero Kits....

Todays test has bought up a problem found by the Ozemail team..
apparently the front splitter was found to be scraping badly under brakes......

You think these kind of things would have been the things checked for during the development stages.... here we go again!!!

That front spoiler is so long I wouldn't be surprised if it was prone to damage just like the AUs 1st one

Maybe during testing the suspension was firmer (didn't someone say that it was 'solid' to facilitate downforce measurements?) and the problem didn't show up, for the same reason it could well occur to differing degrees depending on the circuit (haven't heard reports of it happening for SBR at Queensland yet)

it is a concern if the Ford teams need to significantly compromise suspension setup to prevent the splitter grinding itself to bits...

Reports say that BJR was about half a second behind HRT. The front splitter couldn't have been that much of a problem in slowing the car down then.

Scarping on the ground? I'm amazed its not bulldozing it! Its the biggest bloody spoiler I've ever seen. It must protrude 4 inches in front of the car!
Not sure if anyone has seen the pics of the Pirtek car, but there is one there that demonstrates just how far forward the bottom lip extends.
