British tabloid The Sun reported on Wednesday that McLaren's double world champion of 1998 and 1999 has been talking to BMW Williams about a test.

The Finn left McLaren Mercedes in 2001 to spend more time with his wife and baby son.

But Hugo 'starts school in September,' the newspaper quoted a source 'close' to the driver, 'and Mika Hakkinen is now thinking about how to fill his days.'

A track test might take place in July or August, the publication speculates.

BMW Williams has definitely one, and probably two, seats to fill next season as Juan Pablo Montoya heads off to McLaren and Ralf Schumacher tries a Toyota.

Mika has opened talks with Williams' engine partner BMW, the report claimed.

The Sun also said 35-year-old Mika was 'smoking heavily' after retirement.

But, according to the articleB, he's now 'super fit.'

i very much doubt this story.
If williams r smart they will get Webber (but i hope he replaces Barrichello)
or maybe Scott Dixon

Can't blame him for staying with a championship winning team - something even Williams looks like being incapable of at the moment. If he hung in there for F1, he could still miss out and then get screwed over in IRL for waiting too late.

Cheeez mate get some vid's/dvd's of the Senna/Prost/Lauda/Mansell/Piqet?/Rosberg days for a start, then go back the era before again you'll get excited.

As for MH coming back good on him, he's had a break,not too old yet. At least he knows how to give the right feed back back to the engineers, McLaren or Williams need this man
