EVENT BACKGROUND
Start/Finish: Darling Harbour, Sydney
Surface: Gravel/Clay
Background: The Harbour City Rally is the latest addition to the Australian Rally Championship and will be the first major rallying event to be held in the Greater Sydney region. Centered in and around the Darling Harbour precinct on the Sydney Harbour foreshore, the rally stages will take drivers an hour north to the Wyong Shire on roads made famous during the Southern Cross days of the early 1970's.
Fast and furious gravel roads through the hills surrounding Wyong and Gosford, the Harbour City Rally will utilise the same roads that have made the local NSW State Round a firm favourite with drivers in recent years. While the March date is sure to showcase warm conditions, it is also one of the wettest months on the NSW Central Coast, and the clay road base is sure to prove a true testament to man and machine.
