mad Here we go again.

Seems we another case of one rule for everyone else but special rules for HRT. Given that the 05 HRT car was found to be at fault in the Bathurst incident with John Cleland, why are they being SPECIAL dispensation. Sure Brad Jones has to dig out an old car also but at least it is Blueprint specification. http://www.v8x.com.au/cms/A_102895/article.html

Re: Here we go again.

who cares really... skaife has no chance at all of winning the championship, so i really couldn't give two tosses.. This might have been a factor in there decision, and that's why kelly's getting the vy, cause at least theres some "chance" for him to get up there a bit closer...

it shouldn't be whether they have a chance at the championship or not. Rules are rules.

Re: Here we go again.

Exactly. Were the other teams consulted about the giving of this "special"
consideration. I doubt it.

Re: Here we go again.

why do you even care? To me, it seems so pity, and can't believe you guys are whining about it. What would have happened if the number 9 car got written off and couldn't be repaired for this race?

Re: Here we go again.

If its not under blueprint specs then it shouldnt be allowed to race in the first place, but because they are allowing it to race then all points scored should be taken off him.

Re: Here we go again.

I just caught the end of the Skaife interview on the Panelbeaters where he said his new car could've been ready for Bathurst, but decided not to because of the problems of setting up a new car. If the car could've been ready then, why isn't it 2 weeks later??

frown Skaifes Old Car

I just read on the V8 Supercar website that Skaife is using a car that HRT used in 2001 & 2002. With project blueprint in place how can this be? I realize that the car will have current spec external panels but what about mounting points, internals etc. I was also under the impression that once you changed to a full blueprint spec car (which I assume HRT's would be) you could not go back. It also mentioned about running the engine package that they had used for the last 10 years. Again if they had changed to the new Holden motorsport engine how could they go back to the old spec engine.

If anyone could shed some light on this for me that woud be great.
Thanks
