Last year's race received a huge amount of coverage, and this year it will probably be bigger.
In my little dreamland I reckon Ford should launch a two car attack - one, a GTHO Falcon (makes sense to launch it on the track) and the other, the revived GT40 from the US (now known simply as the GT) - wouldn't that be sweet!
Just thinking that maybe the GT might look better (looks horn already) if the stripes weren't on the front bumper. Anyone else think this too? Any photoshop experts want to show us how it would look?

I seriously think Ford should do something at the 24hr this year - look at all the publicity the monaro got. And bringing a GT40 from the states would be cool, and unveiling a GTHO at the track, and then racing it would just be magnificent!
For those who dont read auto - action. There was a story on the company Roaring Forties, who make GT40 Kit cars here in Australia.
The story goes they are trying to enter a GT40 in this years Bathurst 24hour. The car will run a 500Hp 302 windsor engine and they are currently building 4 racing gearboxes. The car will also run 18 inch wheels.
There is supposed to be quiet an amount of interest from drivers to run the car. There will also be input from a guy who worked with Shelby back in 66, when they won Le Mans in the 427 side oiler GT40.
