The Team GT TE50, in its final race, finished 3rd outright in the 2 Hour Showroom Showdown this morning, on the podium, which is exactly where John Falk intended.
Some fantastic driving from Falkie and a well planned pit stop strategy brought the car home while the supporters around the mountain must have been wondering how far it would get when they heard it start to misfire around the half way point of the race.
“We did have some technical difficulties”, said John Falk, “The wet weather caused some moisture problems in the engine management computer which accounted for the misfiring. The guys in the pits were in constant contact with me, letting me know the times I needed to be getting to keep the car in the top 3, and together we brought her home. ”
John now lines up for Team GT in the 24 Hour race today, together with Trevor Haines, Trevor Sheumack and James Philip in the Team’s FPV BA GT confident of a class win.
Well done team GT we will all miss that TE thundering around the track, but the arrival of the teams new GT will be a great thing I just you John can live up to the high standed he set with TE, All the best John and all the crew for the 24 hr do us prowd.......

Watching the TE50 race was the highlight of my weekend, especially after it dropped a cylinder on Lap 1 yet still came through to collect third! We could always tell when the T was about to come around, you could hear it well before you could see it!
Congratulations to the Team for the third place, and thanks to John Falk for giving us a wave during safety car periods and on the last lap!
Cheers........ Tim

Just a couple of photos of the TE50 in it's last race...
Was definitely my favorite car of the weekend! I do love the TE50's! Congrats to the team. They were talking about a possibility of keeping the car for dedicated Drive Days next year, where members can pay a fee and take it around a track. Only a possibility for the future, but would be unreal should they do it!
Congrats again!
Cheers..... Tim
