This is only a second hand report (but hold off on the flaming for now), but strangely I have heard this one from 3 very different and 3 very well connected sources today.
They all tell me that this year will be the last in a Falcon for Lowndes.

No confirmed seat for him next year but signs point to team Brock!

IF he goes, it will be bad PR for Ford, as they made sooo much of his coming over. with big ads and news reports etc.
Mind you he aint actually achieved much for ford.

actually the only time he ever did well was with hrt( he did no good in europe), and i get the feeling my dog could win in a hrt car.

I think the Jury is still out on just how good he is.

Didnt Lowndes squash these rumours recently with an official statement to the effect of seeing his contract out with FORD...

Team Brock offered him a drive for next season but Lowndes declined. He is staying right where he is.

He does have a lengthy contract with Ford so I assume Team Brock must have offered to buy him out of it and give him a drive. Not happening though.

Lowndes will be with 00 motorsport until atleast the end of next year as his contract isn't up until then. He also said...."When I decided to join Ford, I always said I didn't want to be jumping around teams."
I reckon, look out next year as 00 motorsport is just regrouping!!
I think that next year will be a turn around for the Ford teams in general....and I can't wait!

Yeah, but that's what they said last year, and the year before that. But still they can't deliver.

I can't beleive that the Ford teams are still struggling with the AU's chassis. They are either doing something wrong, or the AU is just a dud of a racecar....Then there is the downforce controversy. Who knows?

AU is a bit of a dud of a racecar. It's very hard to setup according to many teams.

If it is true, he should wait one more year and see how the BA goes.
If not then we'll se how he can race in BA and maybe we'll see some more wins from him.

It's very hard (the AU) to setup because of the lack of downforce available at the front - this limits the tuning of the entire chassis and the perfect balance is damn near impossible to achieve.

If and when we ever get parity things will change - but if you were Holden would you be changing the rules of your game to let the opposition win?

I don't believe Lowndes will be leaving Ford.
