Lowndes and Ingall in Caltex BA's in 2003?

I read on Conrod (I reckon it's 99.9% bullshit) that Lowndes will be driving a second Caltex Falcon out of the SBR garage alongside Ingall.

I don't believe this rumour one bit but wouldn't it be fantastic to see Lowndes, Ingall and Ambrose in one team?

We need an FPV backed team to take on the might of HSV / HRT.

Fred Gibson as Team owner.

Main Drivers

Driver 1: Craig Lowndes
Driver 2: Marcos Ambrose

FPY (Ford Performace Youngster)

Driver: ??????

I don't dismiss this as a possibility, but I question the validity of this information. I could go and make any rumour about any driver moving, and it all could be possible, but it's bullshit as far as beeing fact becasue I concocted it.

Agreed!
Sure Ford would get howls of disgust from the Holden faithful by mirroring the HRT outfit. They should see it as a compliment.
Ford need a team that is directly associated with the road going
performance arm....but it must be done better than FTR.

Hmmm...I got bagged the other day for posting a similar rumour from the same source! It seems all the more unlikely now after this weekend's performance by Besnard.

Well i'm sticking by my post many many months ago.... that Lowndes and Ingall will be in the same team...now what this team is called i don't know!

But what if there is to be a Factory FPV race team, i would like to see SBR as the donor team as they, IMHO, deserve the benefits that come with being the Factory team.

The lineup....

car 1...Ambrose
car 2...Lowndes
car 3...Ingall
car 4...Besnard

Enduro lineup...

Ambrose/Lowndes
Ingall/Besnard

Not possible! With no disrespect to the drivers at all, but there would be too many competing ego's, the sponsors wouldn't get value for money as all the the points of focus would be in the one team, the team itself would have to supply an individual engineer to each driver of equal capability as well as mechanics. If there is anyone who thinks that Skaife and Brighty each get EXACTLY the same equipment and service I would be surprised.
It would be nice to see all of those guys in the same team, but financially I don't think it's possible.
I'm tipping Bezzy to 00 Motorsport, Lowndes and Marcos at SBR, Rusty at Shell with Steve, Rat with Larko, Cam McLean or Ellery with Glenn. I think Weel with stay with Ford and
Briggsy will stay with Ford (Tony and Max).
Just a thought!

What is so good about Fred Gibson? Why does everyone want him in this "Ford Super Team"?
