Schumacher has a good chance of wrapping up his 4th world title this weekend taking pole over nearest "rival" David Coulthard by close to a second. Coulthard is second on the grid followed by rubens barichello and ralph schumacher. Hakkinen is in 6th and Jean Alesi in 12th showing promise in his first outing for Jordan. Frentzen is in 19th, whicl Alonso in a minardi running a new gearbox development is 18th with the other minardi driven my marques in 22nd.
Anyone think Barichello's driving in the first few laps was somehow aimed at holding Coulthard back?
