Max Wilson will not be driving for 888 Racing in 2005. This is the latest from the paddocks of V8SC "rumour" mill. EC will be his final round.

Apparently Max wasn't getting along too well with the team. Personality clashes with team members and Mr R. Dane recently didn't help his cause. I'd say his recent performances on the track wouldn't have helped either.

Now for his replacement (if it's true

). Top of my list would be Warren Luff and Dean Canto, in that order. Both have very good potential and need a permanent drive to prove this. EC is going to be one hell of a round, both on and off the track.

I think Dean showed what he was capable of at Bathurst in one of his stints there. Maybe they'll give him a chance. However it is remember will more than likely be paired with craig at the enduros..

All I can say is, DAMN hearing Andrew Jones is going to GRM.
AJ & CL... could've been a strong pairing.

Yeah, i reckon Canto deserves another go...

But, i wonder if 888 Racing will look for an International driver since the team as strong overseas links?

If it's true.. and please let it be true!!!
I hope maybe, just maybe Warren Luff will get a ride with 888.
Then, 2 of my 3 favourite drivers will be on the same team!!
(Fave drivers are: Craig Lowndes, Warren Luff and Steven Johnson)

Canto was a good driver - but for selfish reasons - I would LOVE to see Warren Luff in that seat!

Just remember guys this is still a rumour untill Eastern Creek rolls on

. It's a very possible rumour (please dear god let it be true, both for 888 Racings sake, and also my ass is on the line here on FF), but a rumour non the less.

I'm not a fan of Max Wilson, so I'm happy about this. We need to give our local boys a go ahead of these international drivers, specially when the local guys have proved they're more than capable. Latest "rumour" is Ford had a hand in the decision to give Max the boot. I'll stop now and wait 'till there's absolute proof. Warren Luff or Dean Canto, either one of the two and I'll be happy.

I heard something along those lines on another forum so I wasnt surprised to hear it. I think Luff should get the seat, Canto proved he was a good driver at the enduros but I think Luff has more potential.
