Did anyone check out page 6 of the latest MotorSport News.

There's an article there claiming that Murph ran a test at Winton prior to Melbourne without having to use one of his allocated test days.

He did this by changing his car number to 46 for the day and using tyres from the ex-faulkner mobile. (used to be 46).

As usual TEGA aren't going to do anything. the quote in MSN goes like this - I check the number, I check the number marked on the tyres, If they match then no issue.

And now they are looking at closing that loophole, but no penalty or warning for Murph/KRT/HRO.

Even though what they did was not strictly against the rules, in any other professional sport they would have penalised under the proviso of bringing the sport into disrepute, or not participating in the spirit of game.

As usual they'll get away with it.

If thats the way they want to play Ford need to start fighting fire with fire. Its clear that HRO will bend/break any rules they like, & unless Ford start playing hardball they'll continue to watch the HRO cars dominate.

Funny thing about that. A ford team has planned to do that for a while and will use it to help develop their racing BA's under another number.
