NASCAR again showed why it is such an exciting race format when today the Roush Racing Ford teams (www.roushracing.com) managed to put three cars in the top 6 places. In the top 10 place getters were 6 Fords, one Pontiac, and from memory 2 Chevs/1 Dodge.
This race was a thriller. When I get back to Oz I'm getting cable so I can fulfill my racing addiction via NASCAR - something V8 Supercar doesn't even come close to doing.

Those detractors of circuit racing really should sit down and have a good look at Nascar. You can't compare it with our sport because the money involved is worlds appart. Huge budgets and prise money, but they show how a formula like this can work.
The V8s should have gone to a control shock years ago.
There is more to going around a track with no right turns than meets the eye

Excuse my ignorance there!
Yes. A drawback, however you really come to appreciate it after you see a NASCAR event in person. I'm hooked!
Just as an aside, I'm supporting Mark Martin the the No.6 Ford Taurus. reason? Why he's sponsored by VIAGRA of course (he he he). Maybe he should take a couple of those blue pills and come over to Oz and give it to Skaifey!

Actually no they aren't all oval tracks. There are two road courses could be three this season not sure. Msot of the drivers struggle on the road tracks except Jeff Gordon and a few others that are regarded as RT specialists

So, when the NASCARs have to drive real circuts, where they need skill, (brakeing, changing gears and turning right) they struggle.

NOT a fan of NASCAR.
(The V8Supercars are on borderline as well)
No not really. Some are better than others at it, bit like what happens out here really except the the gap between drivers that can win and drivers that don't have a chance is bigger
