Read in the Herald Sun yesterday that Shell are pulling their sponsorship from DJR? Can anyone confirm this? I thought that Shell signed with DJR earlier this year for another 4 or 5 years?
I think I read in F1 Racing magazine they are not going to sponsor Ferrari anymore either because Shell's profits were down or something, I'll find the article later
This same story has been told the last three or four years, so I am hoping its not true.
I think DJR have turned the corner, and now with Seaton joining the team, I think we will see the good old days again from DJR

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big supporter of DJR and a big supporter of Seaton, but I don't see that combination putting them on the podium in 05. It will however be good for both DJR's and Fords's marketing..

The only reason i believe it will work is that Glen knows how to set a car up and is good in giving feedback back to the engineers, that is something DJR have not had since JB and DJ left.
So i probably beg to differ. I think Glen, given the right equipment and enviroment is a very capable driver.

I genuinely hope that your right and I'm wrong...from he who has little faith
Damn it, I hate being sinical.
My problem is that I am the eternal optamist, and having followed DRJ for so long (XC Coupe days) I just want to re live the glory days again
I'm exactly the same as you, I've followed DJR since then as well. I'm looking forward to what Glen can bring to the team and that will be a driver that came give them good feedback on how to set the car up.
It would be a shame if Shell does pull out but not the end of the world. Another sponsor will pick it up and life will move on.
BTW TS50, I'll be down your way over Xmas. If you see a black XR6T with NSW plates give me a wave.
