On 10/3/04 John Force from Yorba Linda California broke the standing funny car e.t. and speed records at an event in Joliet Illinois.
4.665 seconds 333.58 Miles/per/Hour
I found this info on the NHRA web site and found it to be fasinating, imagine going from 0 to 333.58 miles/per/hour is 4.665 seconds. That is awsome, at least to me it is.....

ye it is, but i'm pretty sure most funny cars use chrysler motors. corrections need if any?

Thats a very quick time for a Top Fueller, let alone a funny car which are usually several 10th's behind

John Force has been around for ages, you gotta love his voice too a real "american" note to it

John Force had so many spectacular crashes/blow ups at one stage years ago he had a sticker in the rear wing to the funny car that read something like
"NHRA safety crew test Vehicle"

But back then he was using dodge bodies
