ocntroversey??
hey all,
yesterday was bathurst and i sure as hell had fun (way too much beer!!)
but at the end of the race, myself and a fellow member of this forum were sittinh watching the aftermath of the race and the channel ten commentary crew cut in on a radio message that was directed to greg murphy by his pit crew/race manager.
now me and rollin were sitting there and then we heard it!.
what they said had me and rollin wondering and pondering.
this is what was said.
hey good job, on your way back make sure you drive over all the shit so you pick up as much stones and weight as you can.
wtf????
does this mean he was running under the regulated weight?
it would explain his ultra quick lap times, for a car that was struggling 2 ,meetings ago.
now i dont want this turning into a winge/cry that k-mart racing has cheated blah blah blah..
i am just wondering if anyone else heard it.
the words in question were spoken just after the race when murph was heading back to the pits...
i sure as hell hope that theres no foul play as i think murph as had a rotton trod of bad luck these past few seasons and i was happy to see him win-as i think he deserved to win the race
cheers.joe.

Yeah, we all heard those words, but its not the first time,I think that is said almost every year, because they are running so low on fuel at the end of the race, I dont think they were running a light car.
Mind you, I want to know where they hid that NOS system they used in the Shootout on Sat arvo
hahaha
As much as I hate to do this, congrats to Murphy and that K-Mart team, a job well done.

Heh, if nothing else, I doubt they would be communicating that sort of stuff over the open channels that they use - knowing that it is broadcast, and also monitored by random people with radios.
Did you know that they publish the team radio frequencies on the v8supercars website ? ( if have the appropriate radio, and are going to a meeting . . . )
I heard it too I doubt it's any big deal just making sure thats all because I'm sure some cars finish the race underweight even if they don't start that way when they have bits fall off & worn tires & burned up some oil etc
Yeah I heard it aswell, pretty funny really that the public got to hear it though, a common practice after ALL major races in ALL forms of motorsport, nothing to worry about!
