Does anyone know why NO one races Forte's?
Is it because they are so ugly?

It seems it has to be a Tickford to race. Correct me if I'm wrong but we have HRT, HSV and Tickford. Didn't Ford spend Millions of dollars on the aerodynamis of the Falcon?

It's been bugging me since the intoduction of the Australia's Ugliest.

I did have this same thought a while back though!! Wonder what Forte would look like racing around the track. It probably would be a good idea, might improve the image of the standard car if it didnt have XR front. Who knows!!

I think one of the problems that have lead to a decrease in sales apart from poor driving is the fact that ford have put the xr8 front end on the falcon. With EB, and EF they have had a standard falcon front end which allows people to make they own falcon like that of a "V8 Supercar"... the fact that the teams now use the xr8 front end is that people see the that if they can't afford one they wont buy a standard falcon cuz it doesn't look like a "V8 Supercar" whereas Holden, the standard commo CAN look similar to a "V8 Supercar" with some nice wheels and a lowering job...

Would you say Fords losing it's own race??

An AU super tourer/Group A would look cool.

Maybe they could something with the "S"??

Do you mean in V8Supercars? It's because the XR nosecone is the one that is homologated for the series. It is the "sports" Falcon afterall. I think it is appropriate.

The AU did have a full-house aero racing package developed but it was rejected. That's why they went back to EF_EL type areo aids which just didn't work very well on the new car. That's why the AU has struggled so long to be competitive.

AU1 front as a V8 Supercar would look crap!
But the AU2 grille as a V8 Supercar would look quite good I think!!
