It's the same reason GSR were mid-fielders last year and HRT were mid-fielders for their first few seasons. It all takes time, data, money and knowhow.
With FPR the money & knowhow should be fixed, data on the BA's under blueprint is new for everyone just give them more time. That's not to take anything away from SBR who are doing an excellent job.
There is an interesting article in the latest Street Machine on FPR, they have hired a British F1 Race Engineer (can't recall his name). He says they are reluctant to change too much too soon, get it wrong and not finish or go backwards and the way the points are structured now your stuffed.
Remember their 2 BA cars are basically GSR spec racers. FPV are yet to build a BA to their own design and are still working out of the old GSR premises (which compared to 00-Motorsports when we toured both at last years FF Raid looked considerable less well funded & equiped)
mmm yes the points.. don't go their. Maybe we should talk to Jason Bright. What a champion. Leads the points standings, hasn't won a race and managed to punt our boy Marcus off into the mud at Phillip Island.
Thumbs up for TEAM BROCK, BETTA ELECTRICAL, JOHN FAULKNER RACING, OR HOLDEN AUSTRALIA. Who ownes them again? Oh thats right, HOLDEN rescues Brocky from making a silly decision to team up with TWR and now they lead on consistency. UnBelievable. Lets just hope we see that No. 1 on Mr Ambroses' car next year.
GO AMBROSE AND LETS HOPE LOWNDES AND SETON CAN BRING IT HOME AT BATHURST THIS YEAR
Apparently FPR have only had 1 test day this year too (according to quotes on the FPV website) with Lowndes' BA. Therefore all other testing is done on race weekend. Pretty good results if that's all they have got so far....
Each race they say they gained valuable data, hopefully this weekend they can prove consistant and have no bad luck throughout the race.
