Just heard on ch10 that theres a rumour going through the pits that Marcos Ambrose may leave SBR for 888 next season.

Anyone else know about this or whether it may or may not be true.

I hope it isnt.

Mate, theres no way in hell.

He's already in the best V8Supercar team, with one of the best co-drivers and the best crew. He leads the championship with SBR and he's not the type that would switch for the money - and Ford is paying him a far bit as it is.

Having said that I'm sure he signed a contract earlier this year with SBR for the next couple of years, and I think he has a 5 year contract with Ford.

And he looks fairly happy where he is if you ask me!

Well Marcos just denied it.

YAY! I doubted he would move, especially with all the effort that SBR has put into him. Just look at how that effort payed off too...

I think it would be a silly move on his part if he did leave SBR the way things are going his way.

Doesn't he basically get told who he is driving for by Ford anyway since he is under contract with them?

Good to see Marcos is staying at SBR though although 888 wouldnt have been a bad move.

No he is free to choose to drive for which ever Ford team he sees fit same as all the Ford contracted drivers although I'm sure Ford could suggest where they would like to see them go in the end it is up to them apparently.
