First of all, good to see HRT having problems with Car 1! Hope they dont sort out the car too soon!

Biggest and most unfortunate news is the crash of Larry Perkins in the Castrol VY Commodore, at Ford Cutting. The car ran along the concrete wall until it hit a gate of a local resident's property and then crunched to a halt, destroying the front right hand side of the car.

Larry said he lost concentration, which is a very honest answer by him. Picture at Sportal - http://www.sportal.com.au/photos/news/043815news.jpg

Looks like we'll be having a Top 9 shoot out!

Also, alot of Ford teams are throwing in different springs this morning, including the Stone Brothers Team. Does this hint at unhappy handling trying to be sorted out at the last minute?

Tim

Re: Saturday at Bathurst

Larry says he will miss the top 10 shoot out, but will be set to race tomorrow, according to the interveiw with him on TV.

He expects his boys can repair the car to the same balance and speed they had before they had the accident, so we'll see!

Larry himself is ok.

Tim!

Re: Saturday at Bathurst

Pretty good Konica Lite race too - Winterbottom has such good luck, just in the right places at the right times, although they say you create your own luck...

Would be frustrating for Matthew White to be leading the race then lose it with 2 laps to go due to a brake problem!

My question is why are the AU's so quick compared to the VT/VX's? I realise some AU's have Level One imput, but so do the Holden, such as the Young Lions car...

HRT have said they think their car is back working properly now... I guess the shoot out will give some indication!
