Screw the Fords again "CAMS"

Typical lets penalize the fastest ford on track for the most rediculist reason (no fire proof balacrava).

Why because they can do it and there's no chance of Ambrose to get the win once they make him do the penality.

I suppose it is a real issue in the fact if Ambrose's face caught fire he would not be able to see himself running over the offical who made the decision to penalize.

It should have been a after race penality with a fine.

And how many times has a front running ford been taken out at Bathurst (good one murph you toss Don't you like it when you havn't got the grunt to keep a Ford behind you)
If that was me(Ambrose) I would have smashed you in the head with my helmet not given you a mouthful.

Lets see if Murph gets any race susspension/probation/fine over it like Ingall did on scaife.

They will probably pin the blame on Ambrose saying that he didn't give racing room.

How much longer do we have to put up with this bullshit.

gmh has done it again in think(I didn't bother after Ambrose was taken out)

Do the maths Ambrose was doing 2:07's prior to this restart and scaife 2:09's
and the next best richards 2:10's with just over 20 laps to go with under 5 seconds lead over Ambrose That would have made for aleast a 5-15 sec lead at the finish for Ambrose depending on how qik he could make his passes.

I'm still gutted.

Murphy looked to be in the wrong to me and I don't see how he can argue and blame Ambrose for that.

As for the balaclava ,Ambrose should have had it on if it was the rules or he is just setting himself up for a problem.

Re: Screw the Fords again "CAMS"

totally agree,Ford allways seems to get screwed when they are running to fast, yres ambrose should of been wearing the balaclava but an after race fine or probation would be more inline with the offence.Lets just see what murf gets,if anything at all?
A least the fords run a ford engine not like the chevie holdens!!!

Re: Screw the Fords again "CAMS"

I have finished watching another Bathurst I would have prefer a FORD win but I tell myself there is always next year and we can settle for a victory in the Drivers Championship for a third year in a row at least. However I live in disbelief at Greg Murphy's disgraceful driving and subsequent behaviour and antics towards Marcos Ambrose after the lap 144 accident. If Murphy thinks anyone who saw the helicopter footage of the accident believes he is not 100% fully responsible for destroying the chances of Pirtek, GRM, Orrcon and Autobarn cars of a race finish then maybe he should spend the rest of the year in the development series learning appropriate driving tactics and racecraft. 4 wins at Bathurst doesn't necessarily make someone a great champion and based on the post-accident antics he showed he has a lot of learn if he evers wants to be V8 Supercar Champion and be respected as the same.

Re: Screw the Fords again "CAMS"

Who got penalties for not wearing balacrava's?
Was anyone else checked?
Why wasn't big nose penalised for stopping and driving through wrong pit bay?
I wish I was one of the wheel men as i would have undid a wheel and made them come down and refit themself's plus give them a bill for my work done(removing wheel).

Why do Ford management put up with all this bullshit?
I would pull all FORD involvement from the series and start up a new one which wasn't run by officals that where influenced by money and free cars from gmh.

Here is gmh who think that they are on the same playing field as FORD hahaha.
Just look at what FORD has achieved world wide F1,WRC,INDY,NASCAR etc etc

Read Re: Screw the Fords again "CAMS"

Without question Ford was shafted in what I feel was the most blatant biased officialdom of the 'Holden 1000' yet. Anyone disagree with me about the whole conspiracy theory? Well here's afew points to think about:

1. We can start with Oran Park really, way before Bathurst. Lowndes & Ambrose are leading a pack of Holdens. Both drivers are stopped for stop-go penalties. Both teams produce computer data proving that the cars NEVER broke the speed limit. But the damage is done, case closed, & for some 'mysterious' (yeah right, covered up) reason we never hear anymore about that one again.

2. Go back over your old tapes people. Can anyone find footage of Marcus climbing out of the car in front of cameras, officials, fans & removing a helmet THEN a balaclava. You won't. He hasn't worn one for some time now, & has never hid the fact. Oh but now in the biggest race of the year they decide want to penalise him for hey? That was a real lifeline they hung onto for some time wasn't it?

3. Marcus screamed down the radio he wanted the whole field checked. So were they? I have heard nothing of the rule being enforced with other teams post-race or otherwise & without question they were NOT the only team not using them.

4. When Greg 'D*^% Head' Murphy decides to throw a tantrum because Marcus brilliantly finds a way past him, & causes a massive multi-car pile up how do the officals react to the proposal of stopping the race. In the modern racing era they are normally far too keen to pull the plug on races when there is an incident or at very least pull out a safety car when ther is only a minor bingle. But not this time. The track is blocked but thay pull off all stops to use the Safety Car only & not stop the race. If they did then official finishing positions would count back two laps leaving Marcus with a reasonably healthy swag of points from the position he was in at that time. Keeping the race going was the best way they could hurt his championship standings, despit the fact that the race clearly should have been stopped.

I could go on & on. This country's motor sport has been Holden biased for so long it is far from funny. Think about all the car's that have been banned through rule changes, a Holden has never been affected by them. What about the farce that was the Nations Cup Monaro, basically a full-house purpose built V8 super car built to race against modified road cars. Of course something should be done about it but I doubt it ever will, because motor sport in this country is never more profitable & popular then when a Holden is winning all the races.

While I agree entirely with the facts as presented insn't this part of the reason that we support Ford; the battling underdog, plowing on in the face of adversity with odds, officialdome & the eveil empire stacked against them?

Re: Screw the Fords again "CAMS"

In todays Telegraph, with regards to balaclavas it was reported that it wasn't a random check, but SBR was dobbed in by another Ford team!

It would be interesting to find out who that team was and what HQ will do to them.
