I think that they shouldn't have the GP as an official round, and should not continue plans to expand overseas. They are slowly leaving their fan base (symmonds plains gone, lakeside gone, mallala gone, barbagello facing the same demise) which is hurting the venues and state level motorsport which develops our local talent. I think they should focus on staying with the fan base rather than flying the cars off to wherever where they do not even get falcons & commodores. The expansion may be seen as good, but when you neglect the fan base and give them access to less and less races, things are inevitably going to end up in tears and I think AVESCO are forgetting that. I am all for more rounds, but please make them local, and make them rounds where we don't already visit (i.e. Keep the GP to a demo event) or restore them to places we have recently began neglecting. It's too late to save lakeside, but get the racing to continue at barbagello, go back to tasmania as well as mallala and make it a truly national series again

ditto
the series is "over-developing" quickly

It's like the AFL. It started off in Victoria only with every team having thier own ground. Now more (Victorian) teams are getting poor and struggling to survive.
Like the AFL, AVESCO are forgetting about the fans, the poeple who made the sport, the poeple who were there from the start. All they are thinking about now is money.

The sport is now a business and made for TV, I tend to think fans come a poor second - you only have to look at the support categories at each meeting.
I'm also with DK and would luv to see the V8's back at Symons. That is one great little track.
