The immediate future of Steven Richards appears to be up in the air, with news expected shortly that FTR is likely to run only a single car for Glenn Seton next year.
As a result , the industry grapevine is suggesting that Richo Jnr will find a berth with Team Castrol Perkins.
The other bad news is that FTR has lost Mobil as a major sponsor so they can concentrate on HRT and Gibson Motorsport.
But FTR's manager John Matthews said this week that the team would "at this stage, continue with 2 cars," which will have new livery next season.
Merge FTR and GMS into a single super-Ford team with Lowndes, Seton, Crompton and Forbes (so his Dad Bob can continue helping to capitalise the team) as drivers with Fred at the helm. Seton's car can run with FTR livery, Lowndes and Cromley with the wicked new GMS livery, and Forbes to keep his red/black livery.

I agree! They really need to do a official backed team. Looks like the silly season in V8 supercars is well under way.

JB will announce who he will drive for in the next week or 2 and the hot rumour is that he will either drive for Brad Jones or Paul Weel and he will stay with Ford :s6:

Couldn't agree more.. I really don't understand the theory behind having the "factory backed" FTR while the new front page of the Ford.com.au web site has the livery from the GMS Falcon? Who is the Factory backed team?? To bloody confusing for me.
Sure, support all the Ford teams but lets get back to having one "Factory Backed" team shall we..
