GTs in force for the Performance Championship
Team GT are pleased to announce their line up for the 2004 GT Performance Championship.
Returning from the 2003 season will be drivers Trevor Haines and John Falk, raring to go and, most excitingly they will BOTH be piloting FPV GTs.
“The great commitment of our continuing sponsors has ensured that we have the cars that will take it right up to every marque in the category”. commented a very pleased Jon Carroll, Team GT Manager. “They are as serious as we are that we win the GT Performance Champ Series this year”.
The drivers were equally as elated to be racing the two current model GTs side by side. “Significant development went into the GT last year and 2004 is where we deliver the outcomes of that”, stated Trevor Haines. John Falk added, “I had fantastic results driving for Team GT in 2003, arguably my best yet, and this year I’m looking to improving on them. I am really keen to get behind the wheel of that new GT!”.
The new look team is due for official launch at Sandown in Round 3 with the cars sporting a striking livery that was designed in conjunction with Ford.
In the meantime, supporters will catch a glimpse of that new look as Team GT begin their charge on the championship at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide on the 18th of March. Trevor Haines will be driving the BA FPV GT developed and raced during 2003 and John Falk will start his campaign in the trusty and proven TE50 that he so obviously loves to drive.
It all adds up to a thrilling year for Ford followers and a hugely competitive battle amongst the GT Performance category contenders!
