Toll Racing joins the Larry Perkins V8 Super Car Team for season 2004

Toll Racing has announced the signing with Larry Perkins Racing for the V8 Super Car series 2004 campaign.

The agreement announced Thursday 8th January will see Toll Racing become part of an expanded Larry Perkins team of 4x VY Holden Commodores.

Anthony Tratt joins drivers Steven Richards, Tony Longhurst and Paul Dumbrell – all driving identically prepared racecars.

The Toll Racing workshop facility in Dandenong and the racing support team will transfer over to the Larry Perkins complex located in Moorabbin during February.

The group 2 licence and the race contract of Anthony Tratt will remain with Paul Little Racing Pty Ltd. The Toll car will continue to carry the same paint livery and sponsors as in 2003. This move will enable Anthony to focus solely on race day preparation, whilst providing the race management and winning technology of the proven team at Larry Perkins Racing to position the Toll car in a more competitive position.

For information regarding Toll corporate days, etc. please continue to discuss in the first instance with Anthony on 0419 500 113.

We wish Anthony, Paul Little and Toll Racing well in this major shift, which is aimed at ensuring Anthony is positioned well for podium finishes during 2004.

Well at least we don't have to put up with their constant 30th position grid placings anymore.

The only reason why Perkins took Tratt was for the Toll sponsorship. Cause at the moment CPR is backwards in terms of technology and Perkins wants the extra money to buy more equipment.

I also thinks that he hopes to keep the Toll sponsorship when he goes back to a two car team in 2005

Was TOLL/IPEC racing on the offical Ford teams list or were they not being sponsored by Ford. Certainly they hardly ever got any results so it isn't Fords greatest loss. I s'pose it may make them competitive like Paul Weel though.
